Boehringer Ingelheim External Funding
Making millions of lives better by funding externally-driven studies, projects and initiatives.
Boehringer Ingelheim achieves this goal by funding external organizations and researchers who develop life-changing innovative medicines, advance scientific and medical information, and other programs to improve healthcare access and delivery. Explore the types of activities Boehringer Ingelheim supports below.
External Research Studies
Boehringer Ingelheim is dedicated to advancing medical and scientific research that deepens our understanding of diseases and explores potential treatments in areas aligned with our therapeutic areas. Our ultimate goal is to improve patient care. We welcome and carefully evaluate unsolicited independent or collaborative research proposals from individuals, institutions, and organizations for research support. External research can be broadly divided into two research programs:
Medical Education Grants
Boehringer Ingelheim accepts requests for grants to fund independently developed medical education (IME) events, activities, and initiatives for healthcare providers (HCPs) or scientific communities to address validated unmet educational needs or to improve patient care or public health. Boehringer Ingelheim also accepts requests for externally-driven, potentially collaborative medical or scientific projects, programs or initiatives to advance patient care or public health.
